Alas, sales tax in my state eats up the difference.

I wonder if we'll see similar prices come BF in a couple of weeks at the other vendors?

Bought myself a 28-105 on this sale. Even with all the Taxes included it's 200 Euro cheaper than middle Europe! But it was, and still is out of stock. Hopefully that doesn't matter and they will send it after they refill!
Hopefully it makes its way safely to Europe

Amazon is usually pretty fast, so you should have nothing to worry about. And their customer service is probably the best in the industry

I'm on the wait list for 28-105 too. Looks like my 18-135 will end up in the Marketplace.

You bring up an interesting point. I noticed lately the packing of items is hit or miss with Amazon. It used to be over-packed. On a few, I've received items very recently well underpacked... as in.. a single wad of paper with my items sloshing around in the shipping box.

I hope this isn't the start of a trend with Amazon as they've been so good otherwise over the past.... decade now.

Always leave packaging feedback and contact Amazon. I never had Amazon not resolve an issue I have had.

For most items thats fine, but like camera gear can not be packed that way and its sad that they don't recognize that. Im sure like another poster said, if you contact them that they would fix it, but who wants to wait for a second shipment for it to be packed well when you can just order from B&H or Adorama

Just got my confirmation that my 28-105 will be here next Wednesday. Hopefully they will know how to pack it.
