Pentax K-1 Kit with 24-70mm or 28-105mm: save $100-200!
Posted By: Adam, 11-22-2016, 04:10 AM

B&H has just posted some nice K-1 kit deals:

K-1 with the 24-70mm: $3094 + free $100 gift card
Pentax K-1 DSLR Camera with 24-70mm Lens Kit B&H Photo Video

If bought separately: $1950 + $1250 = approx. $3200
So, you basically get the K-1 at the old price of $1750 if you factor in the gift card.

K-1 with the 28-105mm: $2249 + free $100 gift card
Pentax K-1 DSLR Camera with 28-105mm Lens Kit B&H Photo Video

If bought separately: $1950 + $500 = approx. $2450
An even better deal than above- get the K-1 for an equivalent of $1650.

Yup, going to keep my eyes open. I found this while browsing their web site- it wasn't mailed out in any email, and it definitely should have been IMO!

It was included in the "New Specials on Drones, Lenses, Hard Drives & More | Aerial Photography" e-mail.

...but am I warranty-protected in Canada if I buy from a US dealer? I'm willing to take the risk on a lens, but this is a whole different kettle of fish.

I'm happy with my K3 as well..but I was going to buy the K1 and 28-105 next year anyway, and 2/3 of my lenses are FF. I was surprised that the price of the K1 body actually rose after intro, so now may be the time.

I have both a K-3 and a K1, they both have their uses. Especially since you can't get a walk around for the K-1 like the 18-135 on the K-3.

I thought the K1 can be configured to a crop mode? 18-135 should still be usable on a K1 albeit its only 15MP...
Anyway, even with my K3, I don't use all the functions.... can someone please hack the software so that the video recording can go up to infinity?!!! 25 mins is annoying- lol- just saying

Yes, at $50 CAD per repair incident.

Yes it can. I'd steer away from using the 18-135mm, though- the 28-105mm is a much better lens, and it covers the format properly.

Using the 18-135 in crop mode costs you 8 MP. If that was acceptable, I'd still be using a K-5.

But to be an 18-135 on APS-c it would have to be 28-200, on FF. There is an FA 28-200, but, a K-1 would be wasted on it's long end. I have great images at 50mm however.

I'd phone Henry's and see if they'll match the price.
