Did they ever fix the Pentax issue with this lens?

I don't think Sigma ever acknowledged any issues. They can always service or exchange a lens that suffers from AF misalignment.

That's a real disincentive to giving this lens a try. I know that you can exchange it, but if there is a fundamental flaw, it might be a very frustrating experience until you land on one that you are convinced works.

Yeah, I've lost a bit of faith in Sigma as well as a result. But the optics in this and the 35mm are otherwise to die for!

Somehow my 18-35 is pretty sharp. I also have the USB dock and I had to set the values for K-1 once.
