Pentax D FA 24-70mm Lens: *Lightning Deal* on amazon (starting 1/23, 6:59pm EST)
Posted By: shahnm, 01-22-2017, 08:58 PM

All of the info I know is in the title. This is listed as a "Prime Early Access Deal", so it will probably start a half hour later for non-prime shoppers. I do not know what the price will end up being, but this might be a good time to pick this excellent lens up if you've been looking for a decent price.

Amazon page for the lens

Link to upcoming lightning deals

Click the link, or if that doesn't work, navigate to amazon.com, click on "Today's Deals" near the top of the page. Then click the link for "Lightning Deals" on the left side; to make it easier to find the lens, you can click the "Camera & Photo" box on the left side of the Lightning Deals page. You'll see the lens there, and can add it to your watch list, etc.

Let's hope it goes below the $1150 that this lens sold for during the first half of the month!

And I swore to myself that this year I would exercise discipline in budgeting. Looking through the other upcoming lighting deals this could get very expensive.

Thanks for the info. Lets hope for the good price.

But since Amazon charge tax for my state, usually it no longer a deal. lol

I see CrockPot and all I'm thinking is 24-70 wifey-diversion on deliver day. What did we get in the mail? We got me making dinner for the next couple days

I held off on the combo price of $996 when I got my K-1. I think this is a pretty average lens from optical performance point of you. It is also not a '*' designated optics. Not being negative but I am waiting for Pentax to unveil their '*' optics for this zoom length. But the road map does not show anything like it coming in the near future. Any insider people that are more informed and are willing to spill the beans. They can IM me if it becomes too threatening.

Ditto here. Likely no future big Amazon purchases for me, unless the discount is pretty generous.

Same here, doubt the deal will be good enough to cover tax.

I stand corrected, $180 cheaper than B&H after tax.
