This isn't all that far from the truth. Over the years my family has accumulated
a lot of equipment, most of which has been sold off piecemeal [ the closure of the family darkroom in 2006 was a sad event, I learned how to do dye transfer prints from my grandmother in there damn it]. Pretty much all my brothers and sisters have a talent for photography - I'm the only one who bothered to make a career out of it.

Michael Reichmann [RIP] reviewed this particular lens on the Pentax 67II - and compared it to what was then, a state of the art Canon 1Ds with a Canon EF 300mm f/2.8L IS and Michael took issue with
exactly the same optical flaws inherent in the Pentax SMC Takumar 800mm f/4 that I did.

Considering the pixel pitch of the 645Z is actually smaller than that of the K10D, buying this lens to use on the 645Z for the price in the OP would be a
colossal waste of money, considering there is a more modern, optically superior lens out there that costs far less.
