So it understands DNGs from K-1 and PEFs from K-5ii?
One needed V11 for the K-1 ..... the free 9 would do for K5II... then it recognises the camera and lens profiles etc. I tend to use it from within Lightroom.... for special shots. I quite like their "filmpack" product as well.

For fun... take a real noisey image.... run it through DXO with prime noise reduction.... then export it as a tiff....
I've tried playing with DxO Prime noise reduction. Do you have settings that you particularly like to use?

Processing appears very long (it's working as I write) but I look forward to seeing its results.

Thank you, free is always very cool!!! But of course it's also marketing out to harvest email addresses, which can be sold, resold, and so on. So there is some small print that's worth considering before jumping on the download train:

marketingsmallprint1: For Pentax DSLRs Pro9 supports only: Pentax K-10D, Pentax K-20D, Pentax K-3, Pentax K-30, Pentax K-200D, Pentax K-01, Pentax K-5, Pentax K-5 II, Pentax K-5 II s , Pentax K-50, Pentax K-500, Pentax K-7, Pentax K-m, Pentax K-r, Pentax K-x, Pentax MX-1

marketingsmallprint2: "DxO OpticsPro 9 is exclusively compatible with the following OS: • Microsoft Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 • Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), 10.7 (Lion), 10.8 (Mountain Lion), 10.9 (Mavericks), 10.10 (Yosemite) System requirements • 400 MB available disk space • 2 GB RAM minimum

I'm in marketing myself...
Does it really not function at all in Windows 10, or is it only "not officially supported" ?
Not that I would expect too much support for a free product.

A bit surprised that my very old K200D is not in the list.

No problems with DxO 9 on Windows 10 so far, but I haven't really done anything punishing or spent much time trying to break things.

Yes, I installed it, seems to work. K200D is supported as well, just wasn't listed in the original post in this thread.

This is an amazing product, I have been so far using SilkyPix and DxoPro offers a lot more. There is the auto feature that is most useful as you simply pull your photos and they are automatically optimized.
Earlier, I was using Win 10 Photos to do this.
The presets also look very useful

So far it seems nice though I ran into one problem:
No module for the DA L 50-200 WR just the DA 50-200 WR while it doesn't recognize the DA L as the DA lens either

Apart from that it seems a lot better than the SilkyPix (that came with the camera) I was using.

Does that mean that if we have a K-1 or K-70, it wont work with this software ? Even if we already shoot in DNG (not PEF)?
I can confirm that it sees JPEGS from the K-1, but not RAW files, whatever the format.

Although it doesn't list Windows 10, it seems to work fine with limited testing.

I'll try but I'm almost sure TIFFs will be ok. However you loose some processing potential, most especially regarding noise where DxO seems to shine.

Unfortunately I missed this, is this something they'll do again?

It still seems to work, just follow the link, ignore the "Feb 28th" deadline, enter your email (or a spare, non-primary email for this purpose), and it went through just fine for me.

And yes, it looks like they periodically give away their old versions, this promotion and the last both went over the winter months (dec- feb or so).
