PENTAX A* A GREEN STAR 300MM f4

Don't know if this is a good price, but I do know it is a rare and sought-after lens.

Note: I've actually purchased an M100/4 Macro and a K135/2.5 lens from this seller and based on my transactions I would not hesitate buying from him again. He is also willing to negotiate if you reach out to him via eBay message. ;-)

** He has several of these in varied condition at lower prices.

I'd say it's way overpriced. I have an M* 300/4 which I paid about $ 360 US for. I wouldn't pay more than twice that to get the 'A' setting.

Is this lens better than the DA*300/f4? For a $100 or 2 you may get a new shiny DA* that is weather sealed and will have AutoFocus (potentially lighter) that looks much better than this one with a full manuf warranty. But I may be wrong.

I used an A* 300mm F4 for years. The DA* 300mm F4 is sharper (but
not as easy to hand hold), and the AF is nice! One real advantage of
the A* 300mm F4 is if you need a manual aperture. If the mechanism
that makes the "click" can be modified, you would have a nice quiet
variable aperture for video when using the in camera microphone.
