I wish I had waited; just bought a Mach3 aluminum with B3 ball head a few weeks ago. Love this tripod, but the carbon fiber version would have been nice.

I've been considering a better tripod to replace my Vanguard. I ordered on of the Carbon Fiber Mach3 without a ballhead. The $179 one. I have a really nice Induro ballhead that I use with a Wimberley Side Kick that I can put on it. Never used a carbon fiber tripod before. Will be interesting to see what difference is.

I ordered the Series 2 with head based on this post, and it arrived today. Really nice upgrade from my aluminum Bogen 3401 that I've had for maybe 15 years. Thanks.

My Series 3 Mach3 tripod legs showed up today. Hopefully this weekend I test them out and see how they compare to my Vanguard Alta Pro aluminum tripod. This is my first carbon fiber tripod.

Funny, I ordered same & have the vanguard too... Ordered the Benro because the Vanguard while great is quite heavy...and the price was great too...

Got mine too.. ( series 2 : 28C ) . Very light, sturdy and screams quality product. The 28C when extended reaches eye level without use of center column. That works for me!

I am gonna love this one as I won't hesitate to carry it hanging at my waist all day ( can't say same with the Vanguard Alta Pro which I used to leave home )....
