I was going to hit the button until I saw this (again):

Shipping: May not ship to Canada !!
And that is not the first time it happens ... what the heck is wrong with shipping here anyway??
And ... "Returns: Seller does not offer returns."
Might as well stay away from that seller.

Seller doesn't have stellar feedback, I'd stay away.

Poor feedback, price shifts, no returns... run.

Remember that even a "new in box" lens might be problematic if the box shows signs of having been grossly mistreated!!!

And only one distant picture of the lens that doesn't show you anything.

To be clear if they claim new condition and it fails to meet that condition you will be able to return. Item not matching claimed condition is grounds for return even if seller does not accept returns. You would have to use the dispute process.

Note too that description reads, "Product Line: Proxima LENS". The lack of detail pictures along with the "no returns" policy are the big red flags though.

Yup. I bought a "New (other)" Jupiter-11A recently, at a reasonable price, from a clearly-inexperienced seller. The lens I received was cosmetically superb, but someone had serviced it at some point and scratched the optics internally. Quite badly, too. I wasn't too concerned, as I had a donor lens I could use to swap out the glass, but the lens I bought definitely wasn't new

Ah but I asked directly about condition and my eBay message states the item is new. Not in new condition. So if he claims that in a message via eBay messaging it has to meet those conditions or be able to be returned via eBay policy.

"The unit is brand new. "

We seem to be missing the rest of the packaging, manuals, and so forth. The listing now says the item is new.

Agreed. However if claimed and not met the condition will be grounds for return.

I make it a point to never buy a lens online that doesnt show the optics. The lens may be "NIB" or "like new" "new other" but if it was stored poorly it may as well be a paper weight. Buyer protection will cover it , but having gone through that before...its a hassel and you are without funds while the claim is handled.
