Pentax 135mm F1.8 SMC Pentax-A* at a Finnish used camera shop

I know that this lens is rare, but is it value for the price, I do not know... ...my wallet says easily NO!

Absolutely...

Mind you, I could be a little bias as I have my "Lady Luck” (Pentax-A* 135mm F1.8).

It seems like a fair price. There are four of them on ebay right now, and the prices are all in the same ballpark.

With lenses you can have cheap, sharp, fast. Pick any two...

PS: For a 135mm f/1.8 on a budget, the Porst might work.

I've been doing it all wrong then by going for three, fast, sharp and therefore expensive.

Guys, do yourself a favor and use due diligence on those type of offers.
Two weeks ago a forist bought one of the A* 135/1.8 off fleabay from a seller which sold it as without issues. It arrived with a bad lens separation, making it pretty much worthless.
The seller didn't want to take it back even though the auction explicitly stated "no separation, no fungus". Buyer protection has to be used.
Later people saw the same seller actually had auctions for two A*135/1.8 with different serial numbers in the text (not possible to be checked on photos; and those photos seemed to be the same in both auctions).
One of the lenses seemed to have been sold before and then reactioned shortly afterward, so that also seems to have returned to the seller. Everybody can start guessing why. Also: How high is the probability for one guy to own two of those?

The rare exception being a Takumar 50mm 1.4, it's all 3!

I have bought a Pentax lenses from this eBay seller and had no issues. As previously stated not a bad price but the lens is listed in only "good" condition and has no caps like the one pictured in the Westlicht auction. Most of that stuff was also in less than mint condition.

Phil.

I know nothing about this specific lens.

However I have only good experiences from this seller, Kameratori. I have used that camera shop quite many times. Few bodies, some short and long lenses. I've always left satisfied and I keep reloading that page and actually just bought GPS-module for my K-3 while writing this message. I highly recommend this shop for used Pentax gear.

Well, that sounded quite advertisement. I have no affiliation with this shop even I'm living in same town.
