The IR mark is between the F/4 mark and the red diamond. Also, a fairly low serial number...

That's not that bad a price for the 50mm f1.2, since on ebay the low-end price of it on is around $300 and it goes up from there, and the k1000 is usually $100 bucks or so. For the 8-element 50mm m42, that be a steal of a price for anyone who gets it.

I got mine a few years back on a k1000 and it was labelled as 1:2 for $150

I assembled much of my K lens collection between 1999 and 2004 buying K1000's and K2's on eBay because I wanted the attached lens. Often I was able to sell the camera alone for the 'kit' price I had originally paid by simply writing a better description.

Then K10D happened and sellers got wise.

It's only been recently that I've provided liquidity to the entire Forum Marketplace

All three of these are from the same Goodwill in the Willamette valley. What is it about the north west and Pentax?

Making small purchases from shop Goodwill is one thing, but spending multiple hundreds of dollars is another. Goodwill's descriptions are almost always unhelpful, they rarely describe optical or mechanical condition, and images are often terrible. That 1.2, there's only one picture of the front of the lens and it is pretty dark. There might be fungus coating the inner elements of the lens. The aperture blades could be stuck or coated with oil. 350$ is quite a lot of money to take a risk on something sold as is with no return policy. Sure if it's perfect you save a hundred and fifty bucks, but that's quite a risk to save so little.
