Sigma AF 180mm F/3.5 Macro APO EX DG IF HSM Lens For Pentax | eBay

Not the greatest deal ever, but this lens is not frequently available.
I thought it would be worth sharing it with pentaxians here...

I do not think HSM applies to the Pentax version. Great lens nonetheless.

I would love to pick up a Sigma 180 and have been waiting for a while to pick one up -- but $1000 is quite rich for a lens approaching 10 years old and over twice what the same lens sells for in Canon or Nikon mounts. I missed the last two that came to market at somewhat better prices and looks like I'll have to continue to wait. At that price one could pick up a used Canon/Nikon version, a used Metabones converter and a used/new Sony a6000 and then have a body that also supports other lenses that are lacking in the Pentax system (ie. tilt/shift, teleconverter, aperture conveying extension tubes ....). I love my K-1 but am finding that for certain types of shooting it may eventually become necessary to stick a foot in another system ....

As far as I'm aware Sigma never made a HSM version of this lens K mount.Though for the purposes this lens is designed for, silent AF isn't high on the list of priorities when it comes to macrophotography.
