I could do with some new binos, but will have to wait for now.

For those interested in the offer the details are here: HORSES FOR COURSES

My email states 20% off with the code PICNIC. Ends midnight 20th September. Just to clarify, this discount is on the eBay site of Pentax Australia dcxpert.

Yep, they're different offers - 20% off at dcxpert, 15% off at the Pentax Web Store.

They have different stock, I wanted a K-1 grip which only the Web Store has.

The K1 is going for $2349 at dcxpert meaning it is only $1879 with that discount! Thats an amazing price, I paid almost a full $1000 more at launch

Funny, at this time of year. Not associated with the tax year.

Are they getting rid of old stock bought before the AUD went up a bit?

I picked up a Metz M400 from the dcxpert offer. However, the urge to get the DFA150-450 at 20% off was strong, but resisted.

me too... I don't seem to need (want??) anything at the moment and even the spare cash from tax time isn't burning a hole in my pocket.

Truly peculiar

...although a RRS ball head would be quite nice, but they don't have them

My pentax 60-250 was sensational in Antarctica. I did miss my 500 on a few occasions, but a really big lens is a liability in zodiacs. The only time I needed something longer than 250 was on the ship for the odd whale and seal. 250 was too long for many bird photos with the ship tossing around. I got very seasick, but I'm going to some sub antarctic islands in January. Who cares about food when on an adventure. I'll take a 300 and 1.4 converter as well as the 60-250. .

Yeah, I have pretty much settled on sticking with the DA*300, and using crop mode +/- the teleconverter on the rare occasions when more reach is essential.

I'm itching to grab the K-1 with this 20% off on dcxpert's ebay store. It'll be an upgrade from my K5. Hmm...Should I?
