Canadian dollar is 0.8 USD so these are bargains

$199 for the 50mm macro seems a little suspicious to me. Also, why would they have all these old lenses on hand? The SMC Limiteds or the MIJ 43mm haven't been produced for years.

Otherwise some really good prices for sure!

Only if you can pick up at their Toronto store. Or their website is just an poorly designed pile of code.
They will charge you shipping and OST even with a US address. Negates a bit of the savings.

Aden is a reputable store in Canada, although their website isn't the best I'll agree. These prices are impressive.

I'm guessing they either found some new old stuff or bought from a competing store closing shop.

:O DFA 50mm for that price is a steal! Suspicious indeed, but I would check it out if I lived in Toronto

I called them, confirmed that these are new lenses, complete with caps/hood/pouch/etc...

they stated that these are NOS, in boxes, the whole nine yards...

I even bought one D FA 50 Macro. - couldn't beat the price in $US...

and I was only charged $45 shipping, again in $CDN...

Thanks Hornet,
Good Deal indeed!

Last Time I saw that price for a D-FA 50mm Macro (FF), it was from BCCamera, in 2014 (I used to place a price watch alert at that time, and the store was flooded of requests).

Dangit Hornet... you made my fingers accidentally click on Add to Cart. :-) I really do not need another 50mm lens, but I do not have a true Macro lens, so that's my excuse for this LBA attack.

I've bought stuff from Aden before, and their prices are usually slightly better than the other stores locally. They do not always carry the Pentax stuff I want but I did get my Sigma 10-20 from them as well as a monopod and other knick-knacks over the years. The main store in downtown Toronto seems to have pretty nice folks who were quite helpful the last time I went there - my experience with their other store in Markham wasn't quite as pleasant. :-/

Hope the order goes through, i.e. they still have stock.

Well, I got the email from the store today at 12:44 pm telling me it was available for pickup. I went after work and was informed by the gentleman serving me that mine was basically the last one they had processed for purchase. I just got home and checked it out - I wasn't aware that it came with a bag and a hood as well. I am not too familiar with the lens prior to this purchase, but it worked well. The build quality is reminiscent of the DA-L 18-55 although it does have a metal mount, and for $199, I really have no reason to complain - it IS a good deal. The paperwork says Pentax Canada and is dated 2006, which means it's been sitting on some shelf for 12 years! The only downside to this story (which I mentioned here as well New to the Group/Concerned about Pentax in Canada - Canadian Pentaxians - PentaxForums.com) is that the store is basically clearing out their Pentax stuff (which isn't a lot to begin with) - that means one less place to walk in and get a Pentax lens.

I see that the DFA 50 Macro is no longer listed on their website - looks like you did get the last one...

My DFA 50 is one of my most used lenses. It is not the build quality of the DFA 100 WR macro or the Ltd lenses, but it is tack sharp and the macro of course is quite handy. And the auto focus works pretty well on macro although I occasionally revert to MF. I'd say you did well at that price!

I just saw a post about this on RedFlagDeals and was lamenting on missing out on the dfa50mm. I have my sister's copy on permanent loan, but would have jumped at this price. I'm glad some forum goers were able to capitalize!
