Originally posted by seventysixersfan I've heard it's an outstanding camera. I have the tiny Panasonic GM-1 and love it but wish it had a built-in EVF and in-body image stabilizer like the GX85. The 12-32 is an awesome lens, very sharp and compact, love the wide angle though the telephoto end is a bit short. It's sort of like the M4/3 equivalent of the DA 16-45 but with a bit less reach. Watch out for a well-known mechanical flaw in the 12-32 kit lens, though, where the zoom ring comes loose and eventually falls off. People online have used double-sided tape to repair this. I was lucky to have a free extended warranty on the lens so it's currently with Panasonic for repair of this zoom ring problem. Anyway, enjoy shooting with your new camera, and yes, that's an excellent deal you got! Way to use the full extent (max $100 off) of the 20% coupon!
Of course, now you'll have LBA in two systems. I strongly recommend the Panasonic-Leica Summilux 15mm f/1.7 prime lens. It is a beautifully constructed lens that works wonderfully in low light and has great rendering and sharpness. Gives a nice walkaround field of view perspective, sort of like the DA 21mm but faster aperture. After that lens, you should get the Panasonic 42.5 f/1.7 - really sharp, compact, and great value.
Thanks. I plan to use the 12-32 lens primarily. Panasonic is extending the warranty from to 3 years for purchases made through an authorized dealer, which is my case. I still hope the lens doesn't fail.
I'm not sure about the 45-150.
I'm also getting another $100 off through a credit card signup bonus
($200 off $1000 in purchases on a WF Cashwise card that I received 2 days ago).
I also bought an adapter on Amazon that should let me use DA lenses with the Panasonic camera.

I can also use my Pentax K Mount Sigma 10-20 using this adapter.
Hopefully, there won't be too much LBA in Panasonic format. My main video camera has been an HG21 camcorder for the last decade. The sensor is very small, though, and the lens is not quite wide enough for my indoor shooting. And it is only a 1080i camera. The DMC-GX85 can shoot in 4K at 100 Mbps . And unlike most MILCs or DSLRs, does not have a 30 minute limit in 4K.
Looking forward to receiving it.
