I suspect this is really relevant for UK members, or EU members - what the heck - it's such a great deal!

Pentax KP Digital SLR in Black with HD DA 18-50mm WR Lens - Jessops - Digital SLRs

I have ordered one, and no, you are not seeing things!

It seems that the deal is gone now. The price for that set is 999GBP now.
I wonder if the price was a mistake and now Jessops will be cancelling the orders or this was some kind of promotion/action and they will complete the orders anyway.

the price (per link) is back up to 999 - i'd be interested to know if orders seem confirmed / shipped, or if canceled as an error.

Still waiting for an answer either way.

My credit card payment is showing as pending on my statement. The Jessops site states that payment will not be taken until item has been dispatched, so that figures.
As pointed out the deal is back up to £999.99 and that also shows as out of stock and delivery only. The same as the deal I and others leapt on.

The KP on its own is £999 and is in stock for delivery or collect in store, so they are doing the kit lens for 99p.

I am still waiting for an e mail to say either the camera and lens have been dispatched, or Jessops have found a way to wriggle out of it.

Dear Jeff

thank you for your email.

At the moment, we unfortunately, do not have a set date for this item to come back into stock however, we are chasing the suppliers daily to try and get a confirmed date. Once this comes in and allocates to your order, we will aim to get the goods dispatched within one working day
If there is anything else we can assist you with going forward, please do not hesitate to respond to this email.

Using the camera price buster site as a guide the combined KP and kit lens deal appears to be very limited stock or nil stock at all of the UK dealers. This would back up what Jessops have told you.

Wonderful! It's part of the special nature of this forum that we can share good things amongst ourselves. Have a great summer with your new KP - I know I'm looking forward to having a few weeks off and seeing what the camera can do - more than I can for sure - but it will be fun!
