With all those cameras, he couldn't take a decent picture of them?

No wonder it's local pickup only, I don't want to think about how much all that would cost to ship...

Practically speaking, our closest forumite is customarily obligated to swing by in person and take inventory of his Pentax stuff, right? Looks like he put a lot of junk in the front of the line for the photos so I'm not hopeful for the mystical gold plated A-50 f/1.2 or A*135 f/1.8 or anything exotic showing up in there.

His asking price doesn't sound unrealistic, if the condition of everything is indeed "excellent to mint" as he states. 573 manual focus + 291 auto-focus cameras... 864 in total, at a pessimistic $50 per camera is $43,200. Then there's 573 manual-focus and 337 AF lenses... many of them could be very basic, but possibly some nice pieces... 910 lenses in total at $30 per lens is another $27,300. We're already up to nearly $70k in total.

The problem is, who - other than a big dealer running low on used vintage stock (and how many of those are there?) - is going to buy everything in one lot?

LOL That's what he should have priced his eBay auction at...

I'm kind of tempted to ask if he has any Soviet lenses, but it seems like he wants to sell the whole kit together, and I understand that... but, I dunno... maybe it's worth me contacting him. I could do a job-lot of Soviet glass at the right money

I’m pretty sure that guy (the seller) is the only one who wants that specific lot of stuff. 7 billion people in the world and I’m guessing not one wants this huge pile.

I've got to show this to my wife. She thinks my modest little cabinet of ~60 vintage lenses is too many ...

He seems a bit out of touch. He posted his phone number in an Ebay ad. I'm pretty sure that's not permitted - as anyone wanting to make a deal can now cut ebay out.

Yeah, I wondered about that too. Then I thought, since he mentioned that he spoke with eBay's customer service and they couldn't help him list the entire inventory, maybe they made an exception? But that doesn't sound like eBay to me...

Bless him - he has managed to cure his LBA.

Let him set an example for all of us not yet cured!
