Google Express 25% off with code max saving $100 - Adorama -- exp 7/17
Posted By: mike.hiran, 07-08-2018, 11:43 AM

Hey,
Just found this deal:
Google Express is offering 25% Off (Max $100 Discount) when you apply promo code EXTRA25 during checkout. Shipping is free on orders of $35+ (may vary by store).

So I wasn't expecting to find photography gear, but I typed in KP Grip and it came up elgible for %25 off of the normal price of $229 and it's being fulfilled by Adorama. I've been waiting forever to get a deal on one of these so I can use my K-1/ K-3 batteries in it so I'm pretty

Looks like you can buy items from more than one store and your whole cart will be eligible for 25% off (so some stuff was shipping from walmart and some other store as well as my Adorama stuff).

I didn't check to see if there was other photography stuff, but maybe.... or just use it for stuff that you want/need!

Anyways, hope this is helpful for some of you...

So now the silver K-3 ii gets knocked down to $639

And they show one with the grip though there is no mention of a grip being included.

Adorama added tax to my cart. I am in Arizona. I did not expect that to start so soon. Maybe it is because it went through Google Express.

That is it. Google added the tax making it ca $40 discount instead of $100. But the Adorama site is still tax free. Guess we have to get used to this.

Arizona here also….added nearly $90 tax so discount was only $10...Meh.
One reason for shopping online is NOT paying taxes.....No "Good Deal" here for me , when I can drive 15 minutes and buy it from a Brick and Mortar store for same price.

But it will be awhile before the tax kicks in with most online retailers. the tax showsup here because it goes through Google. I doubt if most states have the correct laws in place to enforce this yet. There may be pressure to reduce or eliminate regressive sales taxes in many states.

Oh yeah, forgot about tax issues Sorry, being from a state that doesn't have sales tax (yet), it's not something I think about.

I got excited then that excitement was snuffed out by sales tax....I might still pick up a tripod, though.

"Rokinon RK35M-P Wide-Angle Lens for Pentax K - 35mm - F/1.4" from Adorama on Google Express is eligible for the discount, drops the price to $300 before tax. (On the plus side of paying sales tax, that money will go to pay for services a state delivers to residents, so I personally like paying state taxes in my state.)

I cannot order from Google Express outside USA. I have noproblem with Amazon.com to ship at border and pay with my Visa US. Google is far from being as friendly as Amazon.

Comments like yours are what B&M stores are hoping for with the change in sales tax collections.

I think the big volume online stores will find ways to still offer better deals.

I noticed that they are not charging sales tax correctly for Adorama. According to the Google Express terms and conditions, sales tax is charged based on the location of the store (since Google is purchasing for you it is charged in the state with the store rather than your state). It looks like either the Adorama store in NYC or the warehouse in New Jersey is used, which would be a tax of about 9% or 7% respectively. However, the tax I am seeing is over 10%. It basically cancels out the discount on what I want! Is this some sneaky way to make more money? I scoured their terms and conditions and saw no mention of extra fees or taxes anywhere.

I think the biggest deal breaker for me though is the shipping. They offer "free 21 day shipping" with no faster shipping available (and yes it was literally 21 days, as in they schedule a day for you to sign for it). I nearly went insane waiting 5 days for my K-3 ii. No thanks...
