If it's anything like the UK, it seems as if Ricoh Imaging allows each dealer an individual slot or slots throughout the year where they can offer lower prices. Here, you'll find that SRS and WEX (for example) both offer Pentax discounts at different times of the year...

That sounds reasonable. I hope Pentax NA is doing the same thing. But is there even a Pentax NA anymore?

They actually have a Pentax event once a year where they have a Pentax rep come in and talk about Pentax products. I got a really cool Pentax Coffee mug one year
