Most Rokinons have to be sent back for re-calibration (and possible centering issues). Most of these discounted lenses could probably be prior returns

I bought the Rokinon 16mm for my K-70. The 14 was on my list of options because of price and relatively good reviews in the price range. If I remember correctly the "fixed" hood was a drawback (storage) and I thought I would not be going to full-frame in the near future. the use on FF and crop is a plus. The 16mm has worked well and a possible de-centering issue proved to be a filter problem. It seems a quick test would be a good way to go to allow for returning if it does not pass muster.

I recently purchased and then returned one from Amazon because of centering issue. Very gun-shy now on this lens.

As long as you are ok testing if it is decentered and willing to return and try again and again until you get a good copy. I think you it is fine.

I love mine. I bought it for my K-5 and it was great. Turns out now that I am on FF that there is some issues on one side. But overall a great lens. Especially for Astro.

So if you are willing to spend some time making sure the lens is good and possibly having to return a few until you get a good copy, it could be well worth it.

The thing is am from India and returning it will be a pain. Have to check whether rokinon India will honor the warranty.

You don't have to return it to India, it is sold by B&H which has an excellent return policy. I purchased this lens a few years ago from B&H for $300.00 on sale and the first one was de-centered. I sent it back for an exchanged and the second one was perfect. I don't use it as much since acquiring the DA 15. Just check it right away and hopefully it is fine.
This lens is sold under the name of Bower, Rokinon & Samyang. All the same.
