Looks like it could have been dug up at the beach almost. At least the listing is honest:

SMC Pentax-A 50mm 1:1.2 Super Fast Lens For Pentax LX, ME Super Etc Cameras | eBay

Always wonder what the story is behind something like this.

The aperture is listed as working. If someone needs parts for another lens maybe the blades can be salvaged. Soak the donor aperture in fungicide first.
In the other way, you can take the other parts but the aperture from another donors, and repair this poor lens LOL

If there's only fungus and dirt then it's repairable but this one has gone too far. Perhaps as disassembly practising kit it's good enough. Or for hipster with build in soft and special effect filter.

Do you remember the moldy and rusty Hasselblads? With enough attention the price can go crazy high.

Yep. I think that inner chip or whatever is the killer. How does an inner element get chipped like that? Someone have it apart and mess it up? You'd think the barrel would have a mark to have taken an impact that would result in something that severe. For $10, out of curiosity, maybe, but throw the shipping cost in there, and it's too much.

It always seemed weird to me to put an A-series (or later) lens on a K1000... but that's just me.

I kind of want to see someone put this lens on the k1000 followed by the new DFA on the k1000. Granted they'll have to shoot it wide open but there's nothing wrong with that.

It was recovered from the Thailand tsunami about 3 years after it happened.

I'm in on the auction, I'm working on a project with various modified/mutilated 50mm lenses and this should fit right in with those misfits.

I'll post test pics here if I win (but I'm not going to spend a lot on it.)

4 hours....

The aperture pin is missing and it seem that the black part of the mount is misplace or bend. I'll love to see how do you will restore that lens. I just imagine some work like this:

It went for $56.65, a lot more than I'd pay.
