Looks like it could have been dug up at the beach almost. At least the listing is honest:

SMC Pentax-A 50mm 1:1.2 Super Fast Lens For Pentax LX, ME Super Etc Cameras | eBay

Always wonder what the story is behind something like this.

It looks like it survived a house fire only to be ran over by a car, and then spent years in a fungus farm.

It's a "user" lens.

But that is a depressing sight.

For $10 it’s probably fun to play with.

I was tempted to bid on it just to see what it could do still...
I'm always amazed at how bad a lens can look, but still take decent photos.

Meanwhile, I freak out if a fleck of dust lands on the shell of my lens and immediately run and grab the dust blower

there was a video on youtube a few years ago where a guy smashed up a lens and took photos with it to show the extent of damage you can "get away with"...

I can't seem to find it now...

Fungus can happen during storage. The dents and abrasion on the exterior are a mystery. It's not just from a few drops onto concrete. It looks like hundreds of small impacts.

Was the lens rolling around in someone's car trunk for years???
