Unfortunately it will have to wait...
Planning a surprise 30th birthday for my wife that has doubled in cost over the last week and already exceeded my budget... And I haven't even bought decorations yet!

Who would have thought renting a massive 60' adult bounce house would be $500 for a day!?

But hey!
Isn't life about what we experience together.. Not what we buy for ourselves?

There’s a lot of truth in this statement.

I'm hoping so!!

So far I got her favorite food truck in town to come, a little funky 2-piece band, a 60' bounce house obstacle course, a harry potter themed yard game setup as the Tri-Wizard tournament...

I'm just praying it all goes as planned! lol

I'm very young at 27, but have dealt with things already that make me realize the importance of being together and experiencing things with the people we love.

Life is too short to try and find happiness in material objects...

Now... How beautiful is that DFA 150-450!?

Cancel the party. look lovingly into your wife's eyes and say. "Honey, I know that your ultimate happiness is when I am happy. So I spent all the money I was going to use for your birthday party on this awesome lens and it is making me extremely happy." Just watch the expression that her face will break into.

Disclaimer. I have been married for 42 years and have never tired such a stunt personally. But how can it not work?

When the lens first came out there was a $200 price drop and I jumped on the "deal". Been happy with it ever since, but a price this low hurts a bit.

Awesome. But it's still more than my tax return. And I'm not very good at saving them from year to year.
