Amazon Canada has the KP on sale for CDN$749.99. This is one of their "Deals of the Day", so it's today only. Both the black and the silver versions are available.

Correct, amazon.ca will not ship this item to the US as indicated in their shipping help "Amazon.ca cannot ship software, computer & video games, gift cards or electronics internationally". I'm just hopeful they will repeat the $699.95 US lightning deal we had here in July.

749 canadian is ~570 USD, so a lot cheaper than that. I wonder why Ricoh is offering such a good deal in Canada? Or if Amazon is somehow eating the difference.

Maybe find a Canadian retailer who will price match and also ship to the US? It's a long shot.

I would commit to paying $599 plus fees and shipping for any color KP if one of our Canadian members wants to snatch one of these for me

It won't be worth it, Mike!
The Canadian member will have to pay 13% HST tax, eco fee, then shipping with insurance. Shipping cost even with Canada Post is an arm and a leg.

I am not sure if you need shipping insurance (first time I heard about that); I just checked there is no eco fee either, just GST/HST. There is no shipping cost since I am a prime member. IMHO, it is definitely a very good deal. If I don't have a k-1 and a k-3, I will for sure get this one.
