Hmm. This is the second time the KP’s been on sale in Oz, recently. One can’t help but wonder if it’s a straw in the wind...

The only thing holding me back on the KP is the lack of on-board GPS. Since it would be my travel camera, I could forego wifi and built-in flash, but, having had GPS on the K-1, I’d be reluctant to buy an APS-C body without it. The bulk of the O-GPS I puts me right off, so thanks, but no thanks.

The bulk of the O-GPS? It is tiny as far as an accessory goes. I am amazed there is room for a AAA battery in it.

It adds to the bulk of the camera, is what I really meant by that, added to which is that it’s an extra item to deal with, not just packing it, but handling it. Then, of course, there is the not-inconsiderable extra cost.

It’d be nice if the KP’s wifi could be used in conjunction with a phone gps, to automatically add location data to the photo exif. That would serve the interests of keeping cost and size to a minimum.

Funny way to run a clearout. None in stock, with orders to be filled with the next shipment, expected in mid-Dec.
