I don't remember myself so crazy comparing lenses. All day putting this lens against other similar lenses like Sigma 50mm F1.4 DG HSM Art, Sony Planar T* FE 50mm F1.4 ZA, Zeiss Milvus 50mm F1.4 etc etc... It's so interesting. Also shocking how big might be the price difference compared to other lenses with the same focal length.

Personally, I want to compare it with FA 43. Dont know whether they are, apples and oranges apart.

To all who purchased this amazing lens during the sale period, I just wanted you to know you are about to be blown away. I just received mine today and am already blown away by it's sharpness, bokeh, autofocus speed and accuracy, and overall image quality! This lens is a game changer. Sure it is heavy, but if that is the only trade off, I am ecstatic!!! Congrats to all who took advantage of this all time low price.
MMUahhhahhaha. More addicts.

First file I opened in PS I could only say, “Wow!”

Ok thank you. Edge sharpness is quite evident with DFA 50.

Despite the fact that I made decision choosing between these lenses and leaned towards D-FA (for now, I will definitely consider buying 43mm in future of course), I can say that the flare in bokeh he is talking about in this video, to me looks kinda intriguing. D FA has it smoother of course, it is technically better, but in some circumstances, 43mm may render more pleasing background, imho.

Agree with you. I felt the rendering of 43. DFA is certainly a monster but, 43 stands on it own right.

Yep, the 43 has magic too, but it is a different creature. In no way will my 43 limited be forgotten with the addition of the DFA* 50. Great to have such nice choices. Almost feel sorry for the Canikon users.

Looks like the low price is still to be had at Adorama!
