I’m still waiting on the next APS-C body before I even think about another DA lens, but I have to admit that this one has me rethinking my travel requirements. Still, as I’m not planning on going abroad until later in the year, I’m interested to see how the DA*11-18 is received here.

Well, if that's the plan not a bad one. What would you use on the K-1 for wider angle stuff then? Or would you just not bother with wide angle stuff and use the KP more for landscape stuff?

I currently have a Sigma 10-20 for the crop that doesn't work at all on the K-1 (like buggy 'n stuff). I find it a bit of a pain to have to decide when leaving the house which camera to take, the crop and gain that 10-20mm advantage (which is really 15-30 equiv FoV on the K-1) or just leave the house with the K-1 and my SMC-A 24mm (my widest ff lens currently). Having had that relationship awhile I am trying real hard to make sure everything I collect is compatible between both systems (YMMV of course).

If I'm packing for anything remotely serious, both cameras go in the bag, so which lenses work with which camera is irrelevant.
On the K-1, the FA31 and DFA28-105 are sensational landscape lenses.
It doesn't worry me at all that the DA15 and DA21 only work on cop - they have wonderful properties that nothing in Full Frame Land can match.
