Screw drive isn't as bad as most make it out to be. The 18-135 doesn't focus any faster than an 35 f2. It's just a lot noisier when doing so.

I don't mind the speed per se, and on my K-1 II, my 77 Limited feels great for speed with screw drive, but there are times I just tire of the noise. Hoping all my SDM lenses hang in there. I'm taking the recent quirkiness in my 16-50 as a kick in the rear to use it more.
