That's amazing how much cheaper those are compared to when I last looked a few years ago.

Nice to see Moore's Law still holds in some places.

B&H also has the 512GB microSD for $89.99 . I just ordered one. This is a better deal per GB.

I also ordered the microSD reader to go with it and get the full 170MB/s read speed with this card, as it uses proprietary Sandisk technology to achieve it.

Amazon also had the 512GB full-size SD Extreme Pro for the crazy price of $127.99 . No more at this price, but mine just shipped.
Also had to order the full size Sandisk SD reader for $17.99 . There sure will be a lot of SD slots in my desktop.

170MB/s read speed is 20MB/s more than what I get with my 4 year old Lexar 128GB UHS-II card currently. There is only a single 512GB UHS-II card on the market that achieves close to that read speed.
It's an Angelbird AV Pro for $399.

To be fair that card does have a V60 rating for write speed whereas these much cheaper Sandisk are V30.

I mostly care about the read speed in my case, to transfer 4K videos to computer. So those very fast Sandisk cards with UHS-I proprietary reader are a steal.

I got denied for a B&H credit card that pays the sales tax. Not sure why, maybe because I'm currently vacationing in Vietnam. Will find out next week. Guess I'm not buying a GH5 because of the denial. And thus no need for V60 card. Saving tons of money this Black friday lol.

There are big price differences between UHS-I and UHS-II Bus Type versions...
I guess UHS-II is overkill for the K-1 ?

If I was shooting a lot of video I would consider UHS-II even if my gear did not support it at this time. It would be a small step towards future proofing.

I have been using a Lexar UHS-II 1000x 128GB card for years, with my K-30, K-I II and GX85. The RAW files and video files transfer much faster onto the PC.
But many of these Sandisk cards match the read speed of that card. However, they do need a proprietary reader to achieve that speed.
