I was hopeful there was going to be a similar discount on the silver body but alas no such luck.

As I posted elsewhere; I had ordered the KP last night. It hadn't shipped yet, and when I saw the $471 price I switched to that.
I too wish it was Silver but you can't have everything.

If your looking for a silver K70, I think there is one in the marketplace.

Just grabbed a 'Like New" silver one with 18-135 mm lens from the Amazom Warehouse and got 5% cashback on top.

They had it listed at $456.66. Outer packaging is supposedly damaged but if camera is fine I don't mind. Amazon returns are easy if there is a problem.

It hasn't shipped yet (I went with free shipping) but I will let you know once it arrives. Interested to see if the camera is a customer return, or something that got damaged in the warehouse. I purchased a "like new" HD DA 40 mm from them previously and that was pristine. Hoping for a similar experience this time.

That would be interesting to know whether same reasoning applies to bodies. I snipped a HD 35 ltd like this and the lens was perfect, box was not but who cares

Just received the camera today and the box doesn't show any significant damage. Camera and some of the accessories have certainly been repacked, so it looks like a customer return. Firing off a quick shot shows a shutter count of only 89. I have not had a chance to check everything out yet (to make sure there is no fundamental reason for the return) but everything is looking good so far.
