Ricoh (US) announced their 12 days of Holiday Deals sale. A new item each day, for Dec 7th it is a Theta V with a selfie stick.

Mixed feeling about this theta opportunity, but definitely better offerings than last year!

Today's deal is the GR II with the red ring attachment and a SD card (they don't list the capacity) for $499. Again, a pretty decent deal and currently the lowest price available anywhere ($538.08 at B&H).

I actually saw a GRIII ad on my Facebook page after visiting the webpage. Most of the time I ignore ads, but this time I clicked on it. It was a link to the American GR III website, it put a smile on my face that someone at Ricoh is actually marketing Ricoh products in the US...

If I'm reading the website correctly, today's (Saturday 14 December) is the KP at $699.95, both black and silver.

Doesn't seem that great considering the recent sales. And no anniversary swag to go with it?!

Not much, but still $47 cheaper than the usual places and only $2 higher than the lowest price monitored by the deal finder page.

Yeah, the lack of swag makes no sense at all, unless they have exhausted their supply. Considering the KP was $599 for Black Friday, this is a good deal, but nothing noteworthy.

Weirdly, the KP is showing at 1099 on the Ricoh deals page now. They look like they need to get their act together over there.

Hm... today’s addition is the HD FA35mm F2 at $349.99, which is essentially the same price as Adorama ($349.95) where you also get free expedite shipping. It’s even a wee bit cheaper at B&H at $346.95, also with free expedited shipping. The benefit of Ricoh’s offering is a free 100-year commemorative camera strap.

At equal price it is always better to support Pentax instead of Adorama, especially if there is a thrown in strap

The problem, though, is that Ricoh's online store does not have a great history of timeliness and communication. And I suspect that if there were a problem with delivery, Adorama, B&H, Amazon, etc. would be easier to deal with and faster to resolve problems.

I think they’re doing a pretty good job of spreading out the 12 days over a range of things people might be interested in.

Not everyone needs an entire outfit, and the Theta thing was interesting. Even the lens is a reasonable thing to offer, even if not at the fire sale prices some folks are expecting.
