Sigma 800mm f5.6 in Pentax mount
Posted By: boriscleto, 12-30-2019, 12:06 PM

Used Sigma 800mm F5.6 APO EX Lens - Pentax Fit| | Unboxed | Very Good | ParkCam

I'm very suspicious. Never heard of this lens ever being made in K mount.

Wow, a moon bazooka. At 4.8kg it will need some tripod too.
I was wondering what it came in at. Yep, hefty, as expected.

I'd want to fly it home on my lap, and not trust it to anyone's baggage handler.

Wow. What a monster lens. This is one lens bthat would absolutely love to buy but would have no business owning. Anyone have a spare $2500 they can donate to me? No one? Oh well....

Who’s going to snap their Q on the end of this?

You’d be able to see moon rover tracks

I went to the camera shop last Friday (200 mile round trip) and tried the lens on my k-3ii the focusing was very quick considering the size of the lens. My only issue with it was there was quite a lot of play between the lens mount and the back of the drop in filter. The lens has now been sent to be checked over and all being well I should have it in around 3 weeks.
I will let you all know when it arrives back from being checked.

CRIKEY!!!!!!!!!!

If the rendering is anything like the Sigma 300/2.8 I think you'll be happy Gary. So long as all this are good.

I think I remember , maybe seeing this a year or so ago, bundled with an Olympus and an adapter or something like that. Can't completely remember.

Waiting to see how it goes. Congrats.
