K-70 price lower

Just saw that B&H and amazon have the K-70 at $522. I cannot remember the price this low. Care to speculate it is market depression or the new camera is getting close to release?

That is a great price. It could also be caused by this being a mature product that initial costs have been paid for long ago.

But let me be clear, this is a great price.

It would be hard to update the K-70 for Pentax if there is no K-NEW yet. A new medium/entrylevel deserves SAFOX 11 by now, but that is what is also in the KP.

The price has been lower than that. I purchased a K-70 last October for $495 from Amazon. That's from Amazon itself--not a third-party vendor. The price then got lower briefly in December, selling for $471. That's the lowest it's been at Amazon (unless you consider third-party vendors). Nonetheless, $522 is a great price. It's a terrific camera for still photography.

Dan, I stand corrected. I now remember this. I think it lasted for no more than a day or two.

Recently amazon.ca occasionally offer k-p at similar price. But have to add some 12% tax and trans-ship.
