London Drugs has some amazing deals on "display model" lenses. Online only I think, but they ship to store.

smc DA 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6mm ED AL[IF] DC WR for $99 (wow!)

I grabbed up a HD DA 55-300mm for $199 a couple of weeks ago(sold out I think) and just picked up the 18-135 today. Both lenses are immaculate, I don't think they ever left their boxes.

I read that headline as London Drugs Den Clearout. The word "drugs" has different connotations here in the UK

You say you are near Montreal. Last I heard, Quebec was still part of Canada. Will they not ship to you?

That's not the point, they are sold out for a while... but I think, based on the previous post, they add some items from time to time, and if one's lucky, can grab a copy for himself, or 2 (one for me... ) kind of...

lol yeah, it has the same kind of connotation in french as well

even if I am Canadian nonetheless, I have the same feelings about that name...

Just becareful with this one. They're clearing out lenses made almost a decade ago (i.e. potentially before tweaks / fixes to SDM).

We also have another retail chain called "Shoppers Drug Mart"!

Though that chain does not have all the electronics that London Drugs carry. (TV's, Cameras, Computers)

Basically in Canada a "Drug Store" just means a "Pharmacy" with extra stuff for sale. (Cleaning supplies, some food, makeup and so on)
