Good catch. Some of these deals are substantially better if you are interested in some of the freebies (like the Flashpoint branded Godox V1 flash in the K-1 ii deal). They have 4X reward points on some items as well.

Looking at the K1 MarkII through Adorama, but I live in Canada and don't know what shipping/duties/taxes are like. Anyone have experience?

I would call them, they're helpful people whenever I've had occasion to call. I just ordered a K-1 II the other day, it should be delivered from Adorama tomorrow. (!!)

We've had to deal with this when sending review items to Canada. Generally there are two options, either paying the taxes on delivery or at the time of shipment. B&H has a great calculator on their site, not sure if Adorama's is the same. Duty + tax to BC is in the 15-20% range as far as I can tell.

I'm in Canada too and bought the K-1 Mkii on sale at Henry's almost 10 weeks ago for about $2400 Cdn including the 28-105mm lens. it seems to have been a 3-4 day sale and, of course, the camera had to be special ordered. I don't blame Henry's for the wait, they couldn't ship until Ricoh delivered, but I found a 9 week wait a bit tedious (it arrived last week). Haven't had any decent weather to take it out but I hope that'll change before we're buried in snow. At least the camera looks nice!!! If you do buy from the US you may have a Canada Customs delay, depending on the vendor. Good luck whatever you do.

Pretty lame. At least you do have a Black Friday. The same tactic is used here in Greece but without appealing offers. It’s obvious to everyone but they keep using it.

Just for clarity- there is no evidence that Adorama has done this. The lenses remain at their usual prices (some with rebates), plus the gift card as an extra freebie.

I was a little confused on the wording and how the website shows $2,096.95 as the original price. To clarify, I was able to purchase the lens for 1,896.95 and it comes with a $200 gift card.
