I just found a big price reduction for the K-70 (black body only) with basic accessories kit for only $346.95 at Adorama. I'm finally pulling the trigger on this one!

So....that means the KP is the new "entry level" offering???!!!

... just to note that the "base" kit (for 346.95) comes with a strap and a bag, but the "free accesories" kit (for the same price) comes with those plus a bunch of other accesories .. there are also a "premium" and "pro" kits with some extra stuff for some additional money ..

Just based on price, the K-70 would be the entry level, I think.
I believe Adorama, and probably other businesses like it, are clearing some K-70s out as they stock up on the K-3 III model. I wouldn't be surprised if the KP would also be discounted. B&H hasn't followed suit yet, nor has Walmart.

Now the search begins for discounted lenses...

Yup. Make sure you scroll down the list in the Adorama site and select the free accessory kit option. That's what I did. Then select free shipping, which is expedited.

Pretty good deal, I'd say. Reminds me of when one could get a K-50 as two lens WR kit with bag for ~$500 end of year in 2013. This sort of loss-leader is not unusual for end of year, particularly this year. I made two purchases last week of items that were <50% of usual street price.

I'm still in the window to return my K-3 and I thought about doing that, and getting this K-70 instead... a brand new shiny camera instead of a 7-year old camera with 40K clicks, and for a little less money... but in the end I decided to keep the K-3...
