They are labelled HD but pictures show they are SMC. Back when they were 129 dollars I emailed MPB and they confirmed that they are SMC and said they would fix the listing... which they never did. And people never bought the lenses...

I already bought the HD version (no regrets! I would buy it over the SMC version any day, I compared results....) but if someone needs a cheap WR kit lens with a DC motor, that is also retractable, to have "just in case it rains or something", and don't want to spend more than a Grant, this might be what you need.

I've never bought from MPB before but I am a regular scanning their Pentax stock

*Note the listing and description says HD DA but the picture shows the SMC version. I'm not sure which is accurate. I don't know if they use actual pictures of the item.
