There is a (surprise?) 15% sale on the Pentax Australia web site at the moment. No K3iii even listed at this stage unfortunately.

Offer valid Thursday 1 April until Monday 5 April 2021.
No coupon codes required. Discounts already applied.
*Excludes RICOH branded products.

Most items are out of stock, but they still honour the sale prices on backorders.

Well , the CRK already charged my PayPal account and the order is listed in my online CRK account + I did get email confirmation.
I am still positively happy , I think............

I can no longer find the deal when I apply the same search I used earlier in the day.

So it certainly seems to have been pulled. I wonder if it was an error, or a sneaky back door for insiders, which Pentax Forums managed to discover....

Just been to the Ricoh site.
The K3 iii is nowhere to be seen.
I guess what there allocation was has been surpassed and so is no longer visable
The Easter sale is still going on

Probably the camera the DFA 150-450 always should off had.

They may have just sold out their initial allocation. I'm guessing demand will outstrip supply around the world for a while.

Wow! I just got an email from an actual B&M camera store, Camera Electronics (3 shops in Perth but also on-line) advertising a "Sigma & Pentax 5 Day Sale". 55 lenses in all. I've never even seen them advertise Pentax before. Some of their prices are much lower than the CRK sale price! For example

DFA* 70-200 f/2.8 is $2095 compared to CRK $2498 (sale)
DFA 15-30 is $1729 compared to $1816
DFA 28-105 is $700 compared to $735
DA* 11-18 is $1801 compared to $2034
K1 ii is $2465 compared to $2761.
.... and many more.

and lots of 645 lenses too. And batteries, lens caps, ...

Grey imports? Can't see anything on their site about genuine warranties.

Yes, the window of opportunity was only open for a short while, and only if you knew where to find it.

I still wonder whether there is a bit of egg on the face of someone who runs the CRK webstore....

That was my thought, though these 15% sales seem to come around now and then so I’m guessing there will be more in future.

I’m just wondering if the chip manufacturing issues are affecting the K-33, and if there will be limited supplies as a result.

Camera Electronic are a legit B & M store and I'd be extremely surprised if they were grey imports. They're not always the cheapest but they carry a pretty extensive range of gear (including a lot of Leica). They did a demo night when the K-1 was released and I got a decent deal on an FA31 Ltd.
