I figured if I don’t like it more than the 12-24 I have, I sell it. If I do like it more, I sell the 12-24. Either way I get to try it.

I had exactly the same thought. I think the 12-24 is wonderful, but an upgrade is always OK.

Amazing price! Glad Uncle Vanya got it because I enjoy how he writes. I might have summed up with "I love this!" but ... yeah, getting to try it out would be nice.

That’s very kind of you. I’ve missed a lot of great buys over the years and the law of averages I guess finally paid off. Lol.

EDIT: assuming this lens isn’t a lemon (badly decentered, odd electrical issues, etc.) given that it is sold by Amazon I take little risk here I think as long as I check these things out.

I like the 12-24, but my heart was captured by the da15 and I haven’t loved the 12-24 but I think that’s mostly through not really trying hard. I will need to try to make an effort on both lenses.
