Just received an email announcement from Ricoh Imaging. Its "10 Days of Holiday Specials" begins December 3rd.

Looking at the wording at the bottom of the Ricoh page, it appears this may be a refurbished camera deal:
"This product comes with Ricoh Imaging’s ninety (90) day limited warranty with the same coverage provided under the original manufacturer’s warranty, just for ninety (90) days. Note that Refurbished Products may occasionally show cosmetic wear and will contain all original accessories (unless specifically enumerated in the item description) and are an excellent value!"
The K-70 and 18-55 lens kit have been on sale new at the same price previously, so it looks like you are basically getting a free tripod for accepting a refurbished camera.

Good catch- I should wait until I wake up before commenting on a deal.

Given the K-70 is refurbished this is not an exciting deal.

Likely the tripods are a collaborative marketing deal - offered at lower than normal price in these deals.

The "Add to cart" button for the binoculars has disappeared, so I guess they were a good deal and sold out.

Quite possible. Its the first deal I saw that made me think "Wow, thats a good deal", instead of "Meh...Ive seen priced lower before"
