It is. I've used one on my K3III with very good results, much better than I had expected. IMO it's well worth it for a sub-$500 long zoom. I still have it, but I've been enamored with the Pentax 150-450 for the past month and the Sigma has gotten little use recently.

Sidenote: No idea why the APO version is so highly regarded by forum reviewers but the more recent DG isn't. This one is the APO as is mine.

So it went to a new home for $450 then. As that one lists "a slight haze" in the condition I would probably have bailed before it got that high. That would have been a very fair price for the lens in a Pentax mount IMHO, as long as it was in very good condition. It performs much better than the price would imply, focus is snappy, and it's relatively light so easily hand-holdable.

Once upon a time I owned that model. It was fun but not exactly sharp. The contrast isn’t the best which affects perceived sharpness. It is light and fun to use. I doubt it pairs well with that teleconverter.

I wouldn't pay over 50% of ebay prices on goodwill, gotten a few items that is actual broken trash, they pretty much tell me to go pound sand because "untested" "as-is" with blurry pics and half ass descriptions. at least ebay will let you return if its indeed not as described.
