I've received brand-new never unpacked stuff that was supposedly "Renewed by Amazon" as well as stuff that had obviously been opened and repacked but in better condition than the description said it was.

Worst case is you buy it, try it, don't like it, and return it. Amazon will normally even pay the return shipping.

Amazon typically rates it's items lower than they actually are.
Amazon's sellers also do the same for a happy buying experience.
Just this week I ordered two used lenses that were rated very good.
When I got them they looked Mint or actually unused.....perfect.
Not happy with it ? Amazon has easy returns for Free.

Right now Amazon Renewed has a Rokinon (Samyang) 14mm 2.8 for $90 !!! Thats a Steal !

Guess I was just plain out of luck. My order was cancelled last night due to lack of inventory, though I bought it while there was supposedly 2 in stock. KWB fortunately got one, so at least one of us benefitted

(As HenrikDK wrote, I got mine. The lens looks good, no scratches, no wear, no nothing, except that the box was apparently opened at least once. I haven't had any meaningful time to test it yet.)
