Fyi. I bought the da35. I owned one once before and the smc fa 35/2 - and sold the da because I didn’t love it. The fa later died. So I went for it (I’d have grabbed that hd 35 also but it vanished to another worthy soul).

The lens is pristine. Brand new I’d wager- perhaps someone changes their minds after ordering? Looks perfect. Box includes paperwork and silca gel beads. Crazy. So far I like it. Maybe I’m smarter now?

FYI, I bought the 16-50mm SDM. It came in a PLM box, and I was initially pretty excited.However, when I opened it was indeed the SDM version, with a very dead SDM motor. I will send it back, so if you see it pop up again in the near future, that's the deal. It is in great cosmetic shape and the glass is pristine. Older serial number 9046547.

Argh, sorry you got a dead SDM one. If you haven't already, would you please register that version in the PF Lens Serial Database?
It may help if someone else here stumbles onto it later and wonders if/how/why/when the SDM went out.
