Looking deeper into it there are a lot of used copies for around that price on Amazon. If mine dies, I know where to look!

I've no idea why that lens is so easy to find at way under retail. I bought a copy of it some time back at $120, and it appeared to be new except for the box itself beaten up.

At those prices, it becomes

I'm a out to buy a guitar amp I've been wanting for a long time (and will have to sell a guitar to buy it) otherwise it's almost becoming an impulse buy... to have a WR lens you can take anywhere with a great range and decent enough optics.

I have an essentials kit in the truck console with this lens, a 55-300PLM and a K-70. One spare battery and a twin pack SD cards.

I did!
It will be handy for my upcoming delayed 2020 vacations trip in about 3 weeks from now. Back in 2018 I took my trusty K20 with the 18-55WR as a travel kit. This should be even more convenient. It may be tight to fully test before the trip so I guess I'll pack the 18-55 as well as backup just in case.
It's your fault! There goes my trip's souvenir budget!

Thanks,
Ismael

Enjoy. And make prints to keep as a silver lining.

It is a highly misunderstood lens sometimes.

My 18-135 complains that I don't show it enough love. Maybe we should go for counseling.

I'm hesitant to post those up in the extra set of 'if there's issues' variables versus those sold by Amazon directly, but they certainly are out there.

ismaelg - let us know how it turns out!

You have to be kidding me. This is a new record for the item I've owned the shortest. Literally clicked "Return item" within 30 seconds of opening it.

Freaking flooded unit.

Thanks,
Ismael

Ugh. Sorry that this one didn’t work out. ‘Used - Very Good’ appears optimistic at best.

That’s horrible and not like my experiences so far. Wow. Really weird how anyone could think that was “very good”.

That's terrible, and I would assume below Amazon's standards. So sorry this happened to you, as returning it, and still no lens is a major pain.
