Someone just picked it up. Smart choice! I have owned 4 versions of the 55-300 and the PLM (at least my copy) is much sharper than the older ones, and stopped down a stop, actually rivals my DA* lenses in the center at similar apertures.

I snagged one of the multiple units available when I'd initially posted. Neeeed it? Not sure but wanted to try out the PLM with my KP and then decide.

And it arrived today. Gotta say, wow, that PLM focus system absolutely is a step above even the DC motor in the DA* 11-18 and DA 20-40. arrived in a box that looks like it got barely squished or maybe lightly damp, but other than some box deformation and the top portion of the perforated SN paper being gone, appears as new.
