Got it for $399 not $420 through the posted link. We'll see how it compares to the Samyang 14mm following my cataract surgeries Dec 27 and Jan 10.

It is now $675 and on backorder.

At Adorama it is now $479, normally $599. Amazon usually fronts for Adorama. Too bad Adorama's price is so high. I would have prefered to buy from Adorama, not B&H. Adorama has always dropped their price to match B&H, but I've never asked for an $80 or $200 markdown. That is probably too large a hill to climb.

Just got it. Can’t wait to try it!

It is solid, well built. I like the sliding polarizer window on the bottom of the lens hood. I wish Pentax did that!

All of my Pentax are removable. The Irix slides, remains attached and moves like a window shade.

I like that idea....mostly because I lost the little piece from my 16-85 lens hood...

I too lost one. From the cheap kit lens on the K10D.

Now I remove them all put them in a drawer. If on the rare occasion I need that patch on the bottom covered. I will use a piece of black gaffer tape.

I would have been very careful with stowing it....and yet it has not turned up. I hope someday it will...
