DA* 16-50mm price drop
Posted By: Jodokast96, 03-22-2010, 05:39 PM

Don't know how long it will last, but I'm seeing it at B&H, Calumet, and Buy.com (also Amazon via Buy.com) for $770. Adorama has it for $744.

$1,099 at local retailers here.

Then again the K20D is still fetching over $900...
Yikes! add a few more loonies, you get a K-7 instead of K20D... retailers have a hard time adapting to price changes that quickly.

K-4 doesn't sound very plausible for a Japanese camera.
A K-4 would be indeed be severely inauspicious. For those who don't know, the kanji for 4 is 四, which is read as either "shi" or "yon," depending on if you're using the Chinese or Japanese reading. The Chinese word for death also happens to be "shi" (死, with the Japanese word for death being 死ぬ, shinu). Therefore, 4 is considered severely unlucky with most Asian cultures, to the point that many Vegas casinos omit the 4th floor in their hotels.

And no rank 4 in planes, no fourth floor in buildings etc.

To whomever bought the 16-50's and 50-135's with defective auto-focus on eBay: thank you for saving me from thousands in debt. I'd have had them repaired and reinstated my reseller status. Well, two of each, anyway.

They were $400 each + tax and shipping.
