In 2002, I led my advanced photo students to the Hawaiian island of Moloka`i. This is island has the highest per capita of Hawaiians and is the birth place of the Hula. No traffic lights, no parking meters, and no franchises except two gas stations. On the north west shore, there is a sand dune and beach reserve that is empty of people and almost all human artifacts. I was happy that my students were taking their time somewhere far behind me as I had the beach and this buoy to myself. I really need to upload a better scan as this does little justice to the Pentax 645 with 120 Ilford HP5+ 400.
