    Your photos are soft and not to your liking because of the small exposure time. At 300mm you either need a very steady hand or an exposure of 1/250; 1/300 to start expecting sharper images. It's not the lens, as you noticed in your later samples taken in full daylight (thus at faster exposure times)

    Thank you for your comment, the photo you mentioned was made with a tripod. Do you think, that a shorter exposure (from 1/300) will make the photos sharper even if the camera is fixed?
