flash AF200T and 160 on DSLR?

hi
can i use my old 200T & 160SA pentax flashes on my K100D?

Yes they will work fine in manual mode only. You will not have camera metering to adjust the flash output and since neither of these flashes have adjustable settings for manual, You will have to do a little guessing on exposures. But they are safe and will work.

I use the AF200T in auto mode with no problems, and if the 160 also has such, you can do so with it as well. All you give up is TTL flash, or rather pTTL. The sensor on the flash itself measures the light. The camera will even set itself to the correct aperture and shutter speed (though you can check that for yourself) so you don't even have to do that part manually.

Absolutely. It works much more than manual, or even auto.

Note that in terms of camera compatibility, what applies to the AF280T also applies to AF200T.

The AF200T has four manual power settings (and two auto levels).
